I would say, "yes" with reservations There are
plenty of new people coming onto the Net each day
who will not be familiar with the big names in Internet
marketing, such as Jim Daniels, Corey Rudl, and
Brian Alt [only two more plugs for Brian and I win
myself a free vacation :-) ]. Therefore it's not difficult
to start your own Internet marketing newsletter and aim
it at this fresh audience. The hard part is actually
*finding* this fresh audience.

Azriel, when I first read your post I was going
to reply by saying that most of these new Internet
marketing newsletters are probably just junk,
full of recycled articles from other newsletters. Then
I thought about it, and came to the conclusion that
I was being *very* judgemental - they are probably
*not* junk, it's simply that they have to compete
against the big circulation newsletters and that makes
it harder for them to promote themselves, but
certainly not impossible!

The key word is QUALITY. A quality newsletter
*will* grow naturally, no matter how small. However,
a poor newsletter full of adverts and rehashed
articles may grow, but are the subscribers really
reading it?

I'll tell you how I decide whether to subscribe to
a newsletter or not. I read many of the posts on
Internet marketing boards and discussion lists
such as this one, and *if* a person consistently
gives good advice, then I can be fairly certain
that their newsletter will be of good quality as
well, and I subscribe. I rarely subscribe to a
newsletter from a NEW-LIST posting. I
think NEW-LIST is useful for niche publishers,
but not when you're trying to promote a newsletter
on a general topic such as "Internet marketing".

Just some random thoughts :-)
