Re: [epub] Original Articles In E-zines
From: "David Davis" <davidh@usit.net>

Kim,
I may be in the minority, but, I subscribe to the theory that "less is
more". In the initial issue of Eternal Ink I had, I believe, 10 articles---
maybe 9. They were categorized into five departments. By doing that, I gave
the reader a USA Today type read--- one where they quickly got what they
expecter from AI. The plus was that each articl was original and had greater
impact on the reader because the writer had taken the time to sit down and
compose something especially for the reader.

I'm sure I'll learn the use of reprints when I don't have enough original
content to fill an issue. For now, though, I'm very pleased with this
concept. "Leave 'em wanting more".
Don't give everything away in one issue. I'm going to leave myself enough
"wiggle room" to introduce new features in upcoming issues and perhaps
rotate features.

Sorry for the rambling. Just my .02 cents worth.

Happy publishing,
David
