[epub] What do you think of this?!

Hi Everyone,

I was checking my referrer logs as I usually do each week when I
noticed something strange.  One of my gifs was accessed but
not the page that corresponds to that gif.

So, I looked at the page that was using my gif and low and behold...
there is my whole page copied on another site.  The only changes
were a few of the affiliate buttons and the "site is maintained by" someone
else of course.

It is a weird feeling to view another person's page with your work on
it.  What was interesting was that it was the archives to my newsletter.
The links to my newsletter articles were intact and even linked directly
to my site.

I emailed the webmaster and mentioned that I appreciated the
extra exposure but that she should have informed me that they
were displaying my archives on her site.

I didn't hear back from her (why am I not surprised), but the next
thing that happened was my logs indicated hits from that site again.
I went back to the page to see the layout was the same, except that
her newsletter replaced mine now.  The only thing that hadn't
changed was the title of the page still read the same as mine...
"An Archive of The Marketing Edge Tip-Zine Issues" even though
her newsletter has another name altogether.

Makes me wonder if some people have all their wits about them...

When I decided to use a similar layout to another webmaster, I
emailed him and asked for permission, plus I gave him credit on
each page for his designs...that is the way to do business on the
net (in my opinion).

What is your opinion?
