You've two options:

1. Use a special page on YOUR website, replicate the ordering
info from the bookstore's page - along with a link coded with
the long URL - into this page, and link to YOUR special page
on the ezine.

2. If you feel this is too much work - esp. if you are going to
recommend a different book in each ezine issue - set up an
auto-redirect page on your website, which automatically takes
the visitor to the bookstore's ordering page (coded using your
affiliate code html). The code for such a page would be inserted
inside the <head> </head> tags, like so:

<HEAD>
<META http-equiv="refresh"
content="0;URL=http://www.amazon.com/obidos/095843256manihomepageA/
blahblahblahyaddayaddayadda">
</HEAD>

So when your reader clicks on your short link,
http://www.simplegiftsfarm.com/bookshop.htm

he or she will be transported automatically from this page to your
affiliate book selling URL.

I'd love to hear any other tricks ezine publishers are using, I run
into this problem ever so often :)
