Personally, I don't like HTML ezines - but for a
practical reason. Since we pay by the minute
for Internet access over here (except for weekends,
hurray!) I download all my email within a few minutes
and then disconnect from the Internet. When I
open an HTML ezine my email program trys to force
me to go online again, usually just to retrieve the
banner ads that are embedded in the email. This
annoys me, so I usually unsubscribe from these
zines.

I know this is just a personal thing - if you're in
the US it doesn't matter because you can be
connected to the Internet permanently - but whenever
an email forces me to go online again, I usually
delete it straight away.

I know that HTML ezines are probably going to be
the "in-things" of the near future, so it may be a good
time to start publishing one now. However, I would
strongly recommend publishing a text-only version
as well for people like me who whinge at anything  :-)

Incidentally, does anyone know how to stop my
email program from displaying banners, graphics,
or playing embedded midi files? (Every time it tries to
play a midi file the darn thing crashes!) I am using
Eudora Pro 4.0. Thanks!
