Howdy folks,

Still a quiet bunch, eh? ;-)

A few months ago I had mentioned starting a discussion
list on email list advertising. This idea has finally
come to fruition.

The first issue of the List-Advertising Discussion List
will be published Tuesday of next week. It's a digest-only
discussion list, styled after the biggies like I-Sales,
I-Advertising, etc. Topics include ezine and discussion
list advertising, opt-in list rentals, ad copy, industry
trends, and so on. Besides being a somewhat neglected
area of Internet advertising, I hope this list will
provide a forum for e-publishers and advertisers to come
together to create a dialogue on all sorts of things,
including industry standards, ordering and fulfillment,
improved tracking technology, etc.

I suspect this list will be published 1-3 times per week
initially, but I will ultimately let the number and
quality of posts decide that. The list will eventually
(1-2 months from now) be published as a daily digest.

List-Advertising had 2516 members as of a few minutes
ago, but I thought I'd give you epubbers one last chance
to get on board before launch ;-) I hope to see a lot of
familiar faces from this list as regular contributors
on List-Advertising (especially you, Dr. Mani, who if
I'm remembering correctly, suggested a list on the topic
of email list advertising).

In the meantime, does anyone have any pressing email
publishing issues they'd like to discuss? ;-)
