EPUB Archives [Thread Prev][Thread Next][Thread]RE: [epub] Problems with "spamming" complaints
From: David Carter <david@emgroup.com> Hi Reading all these posts about spamming complaints reminded me of a delightful email I got a couple of weeks ago from an affiliate program I'm involved with, or should I say I *was* involved with. Before you read it, you should know that all I did to promote this program was to put a banner link on one of my sites (it's not there any more <g>). I didn't mention it in my newsletter, I've never used it as a sig anywhere, and I haven't got an FFA page with a reply that mentions it. I have never mentioned it in one single solitary email. And yet I got this: >>WARNING!!! We have received reports of spamming originating from you. This is strictly forbidden in our xxx Affiliate/Member policies, and is grounds for immediate termination. Please confirm immediately that you understand and will cease and desist all spamming. Thank you. << I wrote back to them immediately, demanding an explanation and an apology. I never got one. They never even acknowledged my email.
