[epub] Problems With Spam Complaints

I can now relate to this. My hosting service (which is one
SWEET GEM) informed me that they received a complain of
me spamming.

Folks I haven't received any complaints of spamming since
I was a spammer back in 95 ;)

And I received few of those because my ISP shut me down
BEFORE I even had the oportunity to read the kind of 
messages I now send to spammers <GRIN>

I belong to numerous lists for publishers. I sent a 
query to the list owner asking him to read it and
if it was acceptable to please post it to the group.

He turned me into SPAM COP. I still love SPAM COP.

At first I was ENRAGED!  But I do understand the
frustration of being bombarded with spam. And
after awhile you begin to think everything that
isn't sent to the "post" address is spam.

No it wasn't Brian.  He has rejected several of
my posts and I certainly take no offence. He does
a FANTASTIC job of moderating!

I think the moderator of this particular list
thought I was a spammer instead of a member
because I often use aliases or free email 
services and I sent the query through my
regular mail that time.

Anyway, it can happen to any of us and in spite
of having to defend ourselves, we should still
be grateful that it's in place.

Look at the alternative!
