Hi Julie--

Press releases are made to be re-used.  There is no need to get permission,
because the people writing the releases are sending them to you to be used!
There is no need to cite references when using press releases, either.
People who write and send out press releases will probably be ecstatic if
you copied it word for word, because then you are using the material they
wanted you to use.

Using the information in a press release is much different than using stuff
from an article or other source, where you definitely have to get
permission.  Press releases are made to be used and reprinted!
