No one can accurately give you a sufficient dollar figure for that...  
but the formula isn't hard to follow if you know how to fill in the 
blanks.  (And others may have different formulas....)

1.  How much does your newsletter cost you to produce (time for 
writing, compiling, formatting and mailing)

2.  What is the cost of mailing (if you use a pay-per  mailing 
service) 

3.  How much profit to you need to make per month?  

4. Break down #3 into profit per issue.    

5.  How many ad slots do you have in your newsletter?  Weight 
them according to position, for example: 

	Top ad   1x1.75
	Middle ad 1 x 1.0
	bottom ads (3) 1 x .75

For your six line ad, determine what slot you want to put it, and 
you'll have your answer to how much to charge for it.

I'm not an expert at this (yet), but it shouldn't be all that 
complicated.  You know how much you need to earn, so the 
formula is: 

Income = $s per slot x # of slots

Hope this helps.... and I hope an expert fills in what I missed.
