Re: [epub] Publishing Multiple Newsletters....
From: "Kerri Reeves" <kerri@raex.com>

Bobbi,

I publish 3 ezines and yes, it is difficult.
I decided to start 2 other ezines so I could sell
more ad space. I realized that I had put a limit
on the amount of revenue I could earn with only
one ezine. Both of the new ezines took
off very quickly and I have advertisers booked until
well into the new year.

I began publishing all three ezines once a week, on
different days. With the advertiser list growing, I
realized that I could lose some potential ad customers
because of the long waiting period for the ads to run.
So I started publishing all three twice a week.

I now publish 6 days a week and have noticed that
I don't have a whole lot of time to do anything else.
Of course, A1 Home Business News gets most of
my attention, which slows down the growth of the
latter two. Right now, I'm in search of some kind
of program that would allow me to send out my
publications automatically. What I mean is,
I would like to be able to write out all three
ezines for the week over the weekend and put
them all into this program and it would send it
out on time to the lists. This would give me so much more
time to promote and spend more time on customer
service.

I spend most of my time answering emails and by the
time I'm finished, the thought of having to publish an ezine
makes me want to put it off. (Which can NEVER be done)

In order to save a little time, I added the ability for my
new subscribers to subscribe to the other lists I publish,
which are on the same topic. (Internet Marketing)

A1 Home Business News deals with home based businesses
wanting to learn how to market on the web
(http://kerrisgifts.hypermart.net/a1hbn.htm)
and A+ Internet Marketing is totally focused on businesses
who are already on the web, but want to learn some new tricks
or to see how others are succeeding online
(aplus_internet_marketing@egroups.com)
and 123 Promotion is targeted to those who want to know how
to promote their existing business, website, etc.
(1-2-3-promotion@egroups.com)

So you see, there are a lot of pros and cons (and I tend to go
on and on)
to starting more ezines, but they have really paid off for me.

I hope I haven't bored you all. From now on I promise to keep
it short! :-)

Subject: [epub] Publishing Multiple Newsletters....

Hi Ann and the rest of ya'll--

A little while back, I asked a question about starting multiple
lists/newsletters, and got no response. I know there are people
on this
list that do more than one thing.

My question is: what are the advantages of doing more than one
newsletter,
especially if the topics are related? And how do you juggle
your schedule
to do it all? I'm doing one right now, and the number of
subscribers has
grown to almost 500 in about a month. I'm trying to decide
whether to
launch another one on another subject that's unrelated, but the
two do have
cross-over people. OR whether to spend my time promoting the
first list
out the wazoo and producing things to sell to them--like
booklets, books,
tapes, etc.

Is there some point where your efforts are diminished because
you simply
have so much to do?

I'd really like to start this second newsletter, cause the idea
has bit me
you-know-where and won't let go--<G>. But I'm afraid to not
focus on one
thing...

And do people get confused by your publishing so many different
things? I
guess this is what I'm most afraid of, since there is a large
crossover
population in my subjects....

Ideas? Comments?

Thanks!
