I wouldn't know about doing multiple newsletters on similar subjects.
BUT, I do know that my 2 newsletters are totally unrelated, have a
minimum cross-over with subcribers, around 150 i guess, out of a
combined
base of over 9,000.

This helps me effectivley work 2 DIFFERENT markets. PROFITABLY.

getting up some days does that ;).

But ya gotta set priorities.
Best of all those priorities aren't set in stone.
One day can press you to do one thing, the following is something else.

If it feels good, go for it.
What have you to lose????

I used to run a selection of the freebies stuff in my bis-ops ezine.
Response levels were ok, but nothing to write home about.
Some bis-ops subscribers wanted a separate list so they could still
get the free stuff, so I obliged them.

Best move I ever made.
More people want freebies than bis-ops info.
I get heaps of ad-swaps with unrelated lists like jokes, humoUr etc,
who for the most part dont want bis-ops ads in their ezines.

my bis-ops ezine has been going 2 years & has 4000 subscribers.
Freebies started 12th Feb, & has over 5000....
I average between $500 & $1000 a month from the free stuff.
Thats all pay per lead/click stuff, I dont sell the ONE ad space I have
in it.

The bis-ops, earns me a lot more via ad revenue, & a separate solo
mailing list.
BUT it sure is a PITA trying to swap ads at times.
Most bis-ops ezines already have multi-cross overs in their subscribers.
So the only promoting I do for my bis-ops ezine, is via a couple of
ad-co-op deals & inviting signups via my web-pages.
AND of course a small mention about a bis-ops *sister* ezine in the
freebies one.

> And do people get confused by your publishing so many different things?

nope.

the only advice I can give is that you *Suck it & see*
I would never have thought of going for 2 ezines on my own.
It was just a suggestion from existing subscribers that was
given free reign & worked.

i will say that I write BOTH in a similar style.
Have learnt a long time back that a chatty, talk to
the subscribers as if you were down the pub, over a beer, type
way of writing, works for me.

You know your own subscribers & the subject matter. ASK THEM..
Listen to what they have to say, I did & it worked bigtime.

Be Lucky
