Got to admit I was a little surprised to see that, but having just reread a 
couple of issues I see what you mean.

I think that what I do is, in some ways, what you said about your own style 
the other day - ie talk to subscribers like you would do in the pub. But I 
think you talk to them like they are mates and I talk to them like it's the 
first time I've met them.

That's probably because you know your subscribers because you've built the 
list yourself - most of mine is inherited. I don't really know them.

I think I've consciously decided not to be too outspoken (at least not in 
public!) on the basis that if people didn't like it they will unsubscribe. 
But having thought about it over the weekend (I've been doing a lot of 
thinking over the weekend <g>) perhaps it's about time I threw caution to 
the wind and imposed more of my own personality on my newsletter. At the 
moment, I think the newsletter I produce is a cross between "my ezine" and 
"me writing an old ezine you used to get in the style you were used to".

Perhaps in the long run it would be better for me to really turn it into 
"my ezine" now.
