You had enough content to go from 6 pubs a year to 12 ? It's
great when results exceed your plans like that!

I started as a weekly, went to a daily in September (although
currently Two Scoops is back to a weekly for the month of
December due to family issues and zine renovations).

what I found was that most worthy topics for my audience could
not be crammed into cute little stand-alone paragraphs. Instead
each week becomes a five-part series, on a semi-consistent
schedule of rotating formats:

book studies, word studies, 'how-to' studies, etc.

I write approximately 22 main articles a month, plus many of the
accompanying bonus feature articles (that is the "second scoop" of
two scoops-- each day a Minding Your Mind article, plus a variety
of bonus articles, hence, Two Scoops)

Jan 2000 will determine if Two Scoops goes back to a daily, or
remains a weekly, while the Two Scoops Business Edition,
TwoScoops Kick Butt Edition and TwoScoops World Tour editions
will all definitely be weeklies to start with. (You saw it here FIRST,
folks-- three new members of the Two Scoops family!)

But returning to the thread --- if you don't publish on a regular
consistent schedule that people can depend on, I fail to see the
point of using this venue. Artsy, avant garde, cultural and literary
stuff can come out whenever it pleases, but for business purposes
even when we work for ourselves we absolutely must "punch the
clock", so to speak... errr.. in my humble opinion, anyway.

Cheers!
