Darlene.... Ezines/Email Newsletters are where the advertising 
dollars are!  Go for it.    It helps to have a list of 2,000+, but if you 
have a narrowly targeted niche audience, it may not require as 
much.  Plus, you'll save on postage, printing, etc., etc.  

There are several newsletters going out now including

Two Scoops Business Edition*

that are specifically focused on internet marketing using the Email 
Newsletter model and how to make money with a Newsletter with 
advertising and affiliate programs, as well as selling your own 
product, of course.   

Just putting the newsletter "on line" (I assume the boss meant 
stick it on a Web page), you'd still have to notify your list somehow 
--if you can do it by email you'd come out ahead I think.
