Yes, you can.  It's just one more "dummy default" I have to disable.

Actually, I use WordPerfect and I love it.  But, the newer versions have a
lot of the same icky features I hate in Word.  Fortunately, it hasn't
become as hard to use as Word is.  My husband doesn't understand why I
don't like Word, but all he does is "type"--letters, memos, etc.  For
creating documents with special formats, making changes to the formatting,
etc. WordPerfect is hundreds of times better and faster.  (OK, that may
fall into hyperbole, but WP is MUCH better than Word.)

I use WordPerfect to create the masters of all of my printed publications.
While not as sophisticated as Qwark or Pagemaker, or other high-end
publishing programs, it offers a lot of functionality, does everything I
need it to do, and I don't have to buy/learn a new program.

Bill Gates will take my WordPerfect from me when he pries my cold, dead
fingers from the keyboard.
