Hi to all. I wanted to get ISSN number and I made a contact with the person 
who is responsible for this in my country. She said that they charge for 
ISSN number, and I know that ISSN number is free. Could you tell me why? 
Can I get ISSN number on address for people who live in USA? Thanks.

Re Degans question I moderate an E-Zine out of Melbourne, Australia, using 
OneList and applied to the Australian ISSN people who've now had to refer 
my request to the International ISSN people in Paris.  Apparently cause 
Onelist is Californian (US) based, apart from the fact that it was created, 
edited, moderated, controlled etc' in Australia there is questionability of 
where the ISSn should be located or created.......interestimg ???...6 weeks 
later and I'm still waiting, the US COngress Library haven't responded 
although the Aussie Library in Canberra have, with the above statement, 
that they have to check which country is responsible for ISSN allocation.

Second answer Degan, is that as far as I understand, globally, ISSN 
registration is "FREE" !!
