Re: [epub] when do the numbers come?
From: "The Tinchers" <ljtinch@netins.net>

Ray,
I wonder if people aren't making their money other places instead
of advertising. You know, affiliates with ezines have a great
vehicle to promote their various affiliations, using their ezine
to run the advertisements. That would possibly pay more than
renting ad space. A good deal more, once you were at it a while.
I could recommend some if you would like.

Also, if I may say so, if you wanted to extend your ezine name to
better describe what you have. Otherwise, people may be asking
when they just see Two Scoops, Two Scoops of what? If they knew
at a glance what your ezine was about, they might be more apt to
make that little clicker noise with the mouse right on top your
address. Two Scoops has great content, but people don't see that
first.

I truly hope I have been of help.
Jan

Subject: [epub] when do the numbers come?

From: "Ray S. Whiting" <rwhiting@bellsouth.net>

This is for the daily publishers...

How many of you (who are actually publishing daily) are doing
this full
time? How many have a real job as well? (I mean, how many leave
the house
and go to work like normal people?)

There isn't enough time in the day for one person to do
everything that must
be done, and still spend time writing, promoting, and schmoozing
for the
zine. So... how does everyone else do it?

I have a day job, and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to
ward off the
frustration from seeing that some people seem to magically invent
thousands
of new subscribers each month, while others (like me) aren't
doing that
well, and will probably never be able to make it large enough to
attract
advertisers so that I can do Two Scoops full time. .... or is
this a common
frustration overcome with patience and waiting until momentum
hits?

How does anyone with a real job find time for daily publishing?
