[epub] Do Ezine mergers work well?

Hi Everyone,

I have noticed several mergers between ezine publishers lately.
I do understand the benefits of the lessened workload and
increased total subscriber base.

My question is... do they work well?  Does anyone have
any problems or successes with mergers that they would
like to share?

One day I may consider merging my marketing ezine with
another and I was wondering what the pitfalls are to this.
