I'm not aware of any statistics, but before you do a lot of
leg work, why not ask your readers?  They may not know
the difference, so you might have to give them short samples.
Maybe tell them about the survey and then send a short
blip in text and a short one in html.  Ask them to reply to
a specific autoresponder for each one.
