[epub] Slow mailings

Greetings,

I hope this isn't a dumb question. I use Aureate Group Mail to send my
weekly newsletter to a list of about 2800 people. When I first started
using it 5-6 months ago it would take about 25 minutes with a 56k phone
connection to mail to the entire list. Now it's taking almost an hour. My
list has not grown very much (I haven't been promoting it, and I have maybe
200 more subscribers than I did 5 months ago), so I don't understand why
it's taking so much longer to mail the issues. 

I have a theory, however. I have been very lax about weeding out my bounced
e-mail addresses, and right now I probably have almost 100 addresses where
the issues are being bounced back to me. Could that be the problem? Is that
somehow slowing the mailing process down? I appreciate any tips you can
give me.
