Here, here!  Bravo!  My sentiments, exactly. :)  I write,
produce and publish the Empowered Parenting Ezine.  I
absolutely refuse to have a Table of Contents, for example.
No, it isn't because I want to make them read through it all.
It's because I have lots of information for everybody and
don't know exactly how it's all going to get layed out.

I also won't use an ezine template, though it would make
things a big easier to publish.  But I don't do the same
thing twice in a row.  I sprinkle this and that together
into a readable, entertaining mix and serve it up with no
apology.

I totally agree with you on this.  I refuse to do a table of contents.
It only takes a moment to scan through and find what you're interested
in each issue.  And for Homefires Hearth, I'd say the #1 thing that
makes it unique is one word:  READERS!  I ask them for advice and
recipes.  Most of the content of each issue has been submitted by our
readers - from the recipes, to the kute kids submissions,  to the
tips - our readers submit the information and I use it!
