Hi Ben,

Nice to bump into a nice Englishman on the Web - I'm one of your neighbours o
over here in Ireland!

Anyhow, as somebody with a little experience of Frontpage, I have to say
that there is more to it than simply using FP instead of FTP software
- though you CAN upload files with FP.

FP is a very 'microsofty' wysiwyig web editor with lots of extra bits
and pieces such as a natty way to make forms, use database etc. This is
where the Frontpage Extensions come into their own. These extra bells and
whistle need FP Extensions installed to work.

On the downside, though, Frontpage 98, which I have used, plays puck with
meta tags no matter what I tried. So, I don't use it any more. (I actually
found that it wasn't all that difficult to make my own forms and use an
'ordinary' CGI bin.  I'm now saving up to buy Dreamweaver which seems
to be the Rolls Royce of web editors now.

Actaully, Virtualis don't charge extra for Frontpage extensions. I use them
and find them excellent. They have 24 hour support and are always very
