[epub] Solo ads: How do the subs react?

Hi All,

As soon as my list reaches 1000, I am going to begin allowing
advertising. I want to include the solo ads and classified ads
on different days. I plan on placing good short tips in there to 
make it worth opening the email. However, I wonder...

Those of you who run solo ads, how many do you run per week,
and do you think this has ever lead to unhappy readers?

I subscribe to several ezines/newsletters that offer a special 
mailing referred to in one way or another as the "classifieds"
I personally have too many emails to read and research so I
have to delete these. That makes me wonder how effective
this type of mailing is. Do the advertisers feel they are getting
their money's worth to be included in a classified issue?

Your comments and experience are appreciated. I have asked
a few other e-zine owners about this as well, and when I have
all the results in I will write an article based on these results.
