I currently do not do solo mailings and it's been totally a
personal decision. However, many of my subscribers continually ask
me "why don't I offer the service?" I have 15,000+ subscribers on
my list and I'm sure that's attractive to my members. My
newsletter is about how to market and make money online, so
therefore, that's what people are looking for from the service
that I offer. One of the things that you need to make money online
is a product or service to market. And to be quite honest, that is
the biggest need that most folks have, who are looking to make
money online... a product or service to market.

So, one of these days I'm going to bite the bullet and see how
many tire-kickers I have as well as how many are simply just
interested in the editorial portion of my newsletter.

I think that some people are publishers and some are marketers.
Many 'pure' publishers, publish because they have a passion for
publishing. They really don't have a bent for marketing. On the
other hand, there are some marketers who use publishing as a means
to market, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

When you find a publisher that knows how to market, that can be
golden!

That is what being both a publisher and a marketer is all about.
