only problem they forgot was that their lists were hosted by egroups. ;-)
I went browsing over to egroups and found that one list was advertising as
being sent to 3000 subscribers but actually had 804.  >>

Actually, these numbers may not be inflated. If you go to egroups and check 
out my member tally, you'll see it's around 3,800. In truth, I have 4,100 
subscribers. How? One of my subscribers is an entire mailing list 
(Inksplatters) which includes 300 members.

These other gardening e-zines may be in the same situation.
