Hi Paul,

There are many different mailing softwares that you could use to accomplish 
what you are looking to do.  Which software you choose should really depend 
on the goals that you are trying to accomplish with your mailing 
list.  There is free hosting out there like eGroups that will allow you to 
do what you are asking, and there is fee-based hosting that will accomplish 
what you are asking to do, like SparkLIST.

Free hosting is great for people who do not require a lot of tech support 
and are not overly concerned about selling advertising, whereas fee-based 
hosting is great for those that require a little more attention, and have 
lists that are geared towards selling advertising and are more business 
orientated.

Most of your fee-based software is robust in comparison to the free 
software, and will allow you to do a bit more.  You need to ask yourself 
what your global goal is with your list in order to determine which 
platform is right for you.
