I have gone no mail on a great many of my mailing lists for a variety of
reasons. Hard drive space is one of them, I like to keep everything that
shows up in my mailbox :-) So I use eGroups as an archive. I have many
lists on nomail and not just when I am on vacation. I also travel a lot on
weekends and would be changing my subscriptions every monday and thursday
or friday.

Don't discount those on no mail, the other part of it is "web only" and
many of us actually do go into eGroups and read it on the web. Perhaps
eGroups needs to look into tracking this for list owners so they realize
that folks are reading it on the web and not ignoring it?
