50 subscribers a week is not so bad for a start up. I would 
advise you to use an ad swap service, and pay for extra 
impressions. They are relatively cheap, and it will help your 
list grow much faster. Since I use this method, I get 150
new subscribers every week.

I've been using Chris' service for some time now, and 
my subscriber base has increased enormously! 

TIP: Don't forget to set up a joint venture with another E-zine 
Publishers in your interest area. Ask them if he/she would 
like to trade a recommendation in his/her own newsletter's 
welcome message. This will send you a non stop flow of 
new subscribers. It's a win-win situation.
