Hi, Nancy.
I've basically built all of my lists and websites around the
introduction and promotion of affiliate programs. What I would recommend
is this:
Choose only one, or a select few, that you understand 100%, believe in
the validity of (100%), and that pertain to the audience  you intend on
promoting it/them to. The most profitable programs for some, may be a
major disappointment for others. I myself have done well with  programs
offered by Ken Evoy (5 Pillars) and Mark Joyner (ROIbot). But the level
of success changes with current popularity, the effectiveness of new
product promotion, etc. One to keep an eye on is Kim Skinner's
ZipResponse.com affiliate program, which  pays over 50% commission, and
represents a top notch group of tools and services, at a very
inexpensive price. And considering that it pertains to e-mail marketing,
it may well fit into your game plan. I will also shamelessly plug my
site, Top 5, which provides links to 13 of the top affiliate program
directories.
