[epub] HTML

This is not really contributing to the HTML saga but the two
things are linked in my bewildered  brain.  While the HTML
debate goes on I am forced to wonder about MIME because it
keeps popping up in emails I send.  Can anyone tell me how,
why and can it be switched off?
