Well, George, TotalSaturation.com isn't the only one doing this, so I 
don't want to single them out, but...

The deal is this:
You pay TS to set you up with a package that finds lists to promote 
to, filters the e-mail (they can post, but you can't post them
back!), among other services. I was assured by a rep from the company 
that it is perfectly legal, as long as you don't mind a bunch of 
subscribers with practically the same e-mail address that you can't 
even actually contact (!). Some may figure it to be a blessing, 
because it will juice up your total members, making you more 
appealing in the eyes of new potential subscribers that are attracted 
by big lists, and your member list will go through the roof...but is 
that something a reputable listowner wants? Not this one.

(To be fair, I will say that the rep from TS said that they save all 
messages sent to their members, and will gladly allow them to receive 
them, but...they don't recommend it, warning against the loss of they 
mail account due to the excessive amount of mail they will receive, 
and the "reinstatement fee" they will charge when this happens.
