Re: [epub] Microsoft Word Question

Well, that depends ;->

In the same way that MS Word can open files produced in other
applications, many of Word's Mac equivalents (including MS Word for
Mac) can also open documents from different programs. That includes
cross-platform (ie PC <-> Mac) files.

Many Mac users, having experienced the frustration of receiving a PC
file and not being able to do anything with it, also choose to
install distinct emulation or conversion software. MacLink is a
popular example of this.

However, it is by no means obligatory to run your Mac with such
filters or software installed, and I'm sure there are many, many Mac
users who choose to ignore anything that emanates from a PC. You
therefore have a couple of options.

You could :
*Save the document as plain text and copy into the body of an email.
Extremely crude, but reliable.
*Publish it as a web page, to be viewed with a browser. You may even
be able to do this from Word on your PC. So-saved HTML pages are
cross-platform, and will also allow you to retain / display your
preferred formatting.
*Tell your Mac users that you are aware of the PC/Mac compatibility
issues, and point them in the direction of http://www.DataViz.com/ ,
the producers of MacLink. AOL users have their own, personal link to
DataViz below.

Hope this helps
