YES -

The best results occur utilizing the most recent version of MS Word for the
respective platforms.
How the files are shared between the platforms can become an issue.
Macs can load and read media (diskettes, zip carts, etc.) without the need
for third party software.
PC's need additional software to 'return the favor'.
