I agree wholheartedly with your response.

Many "articles" arrive in my Inbox every day. Here's what
happens with them:

  o  They are opened and scanned.

  o  If they are good and topical, I respond to the
     sender and tell her/him of my interest.

  o  If they are not, they are filed in an appropriate
     folder, for later appraisal. There is NO response to
     the submitter at this time.

  o  When they are finally checked for minimum values,
     they are either kept for follow-up or deleted.

  o  In the case of those which are deleted, there is
     rarely any response to the sender. If "time" is
     the online commodity we all know it to be online,
     very few folks with an established ezine, have the
     "time" that would be required to conduct live
     tutorials with every submitting author.

  o  "Content is king online." There is no room for any
     busy editor/publisher, big or small, to run an
     article simply because he or she feels sorry for
     someone starting out.

  o  If a budding author doesn't have the sensitivity to
     sense this from the beginning, perhaps this is not
     a field he or she should be pursuing.

This may sound "cold" to some, but the truth is that most
ezines are built with a lot of sweat, perseverence and
money.

It also takes a dedication based not on avarice, but on a
sincere love of writing. Why else would someone put up
with all this anyway?

My final word to those who feel slighted by others who
don't immediately share their feeling of admiration for
"their" contributions, "Stop whining and start writing better copy <G>!"
