would add these comments:

sometimes a mentor or two would be nice, but I agree we can't take 
on the whole next generation of e-publishers.   It is truly a 
do-it-yourself process, for the most part.

Sweat?   .<*sniff*> yep.
Perserverance?   definitely.
Money?  MONEY?  You have MONEY?  The Website for Two Scoops only costs $9.95/mo
(500MBspace, 15POP3's, etc.) but I'm covering that out of my own pocket from my
day job, I can't afford to pay for advertising ... AND trying to save up to get
a couple pork chops out of layaway at the grocery for Christmas.  <*grin*>
