[epub] Digital voice recording suggestions?

Help!  I do a lot of phone interviews for articles
for my ezines.  It's getting really tiring to have to 
listen and type like crazy for an hour at a time
several times a day.  

But my deadlines are tight, so I don't have the
leisure for tape recorded conversations to be transcribed or
anything.

I've looked up digital voice recorders on Cnet and
elswhere and they seem to be perfect for this
problem... they record a conversation and then you can
upload it to your Word program in your PC.  Only
problem is I can't tell if any of them will work with
my phone line (I don't want to do interviews by
speaker phone as that can come off as rude.)

Does anyone else on this list have a tech solution for
this or know of a product I can buy for less than $500
to solve this problem?
