Anne,

If you can find a headset that will do a decent job for "your" voice
on a conventional telephone hookup you could use your PC to make the
call. Using something like "Loop Recorder" to record the conversation
would be a snap!

You could save your recording in a regular .wav file, MP3, MIDI...?
For around $50? (headset and software). Labtec has a headset that
looks like it might fill the bill (Handtech part# 18463). See my sig
line and have a look. I don't have the info on the recording software
on me, but can look it up and e-mail it to you.
