I don't know about that particular seminar, unfortunately, but
thought I could give you some guidelines I use when deciding
what's worth my time.

First I look at the contents of the seminar to see if the topics
are something I need to be better informed about.   I look at the
presenters, the workshops and the leaders of them.  Are they
recognized experts in their field?  What qualifies them to teach?

Then I look at the sponsors, their history and any information I
can about them and their operation.  If still in doubt, I call
the organization and ask for references from prior attendees who
are NOT affiliated with them in any way.   Then I check
references.

I check out the hours to see if they're in line with the
subject(s) to be covered.  I won't sit through 5 hours of
'presentation' when 2 will do.  Nor will I pay to attend a
shortened course that requires much more time to be adequately
covered.  Balance is what I look for there.

Lastly, I look for convenience.  Do I have to stay overnight, are
the costs associated with travel and lodging ect in line with the
reasonable expectations of value from the seminar?  If not, I
forget it.

If it is a large convention area, I might call the Chamber of
Commerce in the town and find out what else is happening during
that time frame.  I don't want to try to get around when the
place is over run with politcal conventions, demonstrations and
such.

By this point I have a pretty good idea what my decision will be.
