May I recommend that you:

A) SUBSCRIBE to your own lists using a different email

address (if you have to, use a hotmail account) and
right away post to your own lists notifying all of
your subscribers what has happened;

If one has a closed list, i.e., essentially an ezine
where only owner/editor can post, hard to do after
fact - messages from unauthrised members will be
bounced - but may I suggest that all eGroups list
owners who use eGropus ot distribute what is
essentailly an ezine, immediately set up at least
two-web based back up accounts (I used Hotmail and
Yahoo) and make them full moderators.

Thus, in such a sitaution, the web 'maderator' (oops a
typo, should have been 'moderator' but typo fits
situation, no?) account can be used to send out info.
