Sure, there may be some legitimate users there. But, if I have to sort
through all the spam ones to find the odd good one, then that good one
costs me too much to obtain in time and effort. Even in two weeks, the
multiple listings outweigh the singles so its easier to simply ban them and
save myself the hassle. My cynical side says that anybody who signs up to
get paid to read email isn't a customer of mine. I want customers who want
to read what I write and follow my advertisers.

As a secondary issue - my advertisers don't want these people either. Mind
you I haven't asked each of them but I have to assume they don't want to
advertise to somebody who isn't reading the newsletter :-) but merely
opening it to earn a few pennies a mailing.

While those spam-isp numbers pad my list, I want my list as clean and
efficient as possible both for my own sense of who is reading my writing
and the business venture I operate as a small publisher.
