I have had this problem as well....

I got an email from  xxx@themail.com and it just said hi.

I quickly learned this was just on auto responder and have not
heard anything from there Spam department thus far.

I my self offer free web based e-mail and thought about doing a variation
of what themail.com does but feel the headaches would far out weigh any
monetary gains.

I am for the blocking of themail.com!
