[epub] about worldwidelists and other "services"

Hi everyone,


First I must I'd like to thank Mike Merz for his reply about how
to reach SOMEONE in the staff at egroups. I'll try and contact
this guy this following week.

I've seen a lot of you has talked about on how to get subscribers
to your newsletters and so on. I mean, c'mon, why are ANYONE
using services such as worldwidelists?! If you can't get subcribers
any other way you should maybe try and re-think the fact why
you are giving out the newsletter in the first case. My tip is to
first of all find something that you know *a lot* about and that
interests YOU *a lot*. This will shine through in your publications
and make people get an "aha"-feeling. Second of all, to get
subscribers try and figure out what people who likes the same
thing you are writing about might like or NEED. For example,
are you giving out a newsletter about how to do your own plumbing
maybe you should seek out a newsletter/company that sells pipes
and other things that might be needed in doing your own plumbing.
There's also a chance that a man/woman interested in doing their
own plumbing might be interested in carpentry, so why not try
do to cross-ads in newsletters/sites about that?! You can trade
adspace with each other. The possibilities are endless if you just
sit down and think rational for a minute or two...

Another thing you should think about is to be very "niched". Focus
on ONE are of expertise, don't be "casual". There are too many
sites/newsletters of that sort in the world and the subscribers are
very unfaithful as well.

So my tip is DUMP all the worldwidelists.com you might use and
try to get non-transient subscribers to your list(s). There is a saying
that is very accurate; "Content is king", abide that and you will see
that you'll have some success on your own.
