EPUB Archives [Thread Prev][Thread Next][Thread]Re: [epub] Article Snippets VS The Full Article In Ezines
In a message dated 10/31/2000 6:19:16 AM Pacific Standard Time, willie@williecrawford.com writes: << I was just curious as to home many list members have experimented with sending out just a snippet of articles in your ezines instead of the full text. >> I do both, but lean heavily toward the "full text." I use two VERY small snippets in an 8 page ezine. Everything else is "full." (well occassionally I also use a snippet from a short story) I do get hits to those pages at my website when I run the snippets, but it's certainly not anywhere near 3600+ (which is my subscriber base). I basically only do it as a courtesy for my regular columnists at the website and to show "what's new." I think readers probably prefer "full" articles. At least, I know I do. I rarely click through to a site from an ezine to finish an article. Ruth D.
