[epub] Illegal post to my list

Hello to the members of this list.

I own the daily_chuckle group at eGroups.com.

This morning a message was send out to my list from my address,
dkstone@hotmail.com without my knowledge linking to some tourist
site in Turkey with the subject saying something about democracy.

How can this happen?  How can I prevent it from happening in the future?

What is the best way to do damage control?

I appreciate any input and opinion on this situation.
