[epub] solo ad mailings

What would you think about solo ads being sent out
that included an interesting article with the ad at the
beginning and the end of the message?  Does anybody
have any thoughts about this...

I am considering it because I have seen it done by one
publisher and I personally like the idea but would like to
have other thoughts about it from outside my own brain.
