One of the first things I did when I started my main newsletter list was to 
buy my own listserver. They are more affordable then ever, and although not 
100% reliable (nothing is), they come real close.

I never have seen a free service work well consistently. I had another list 
on E-groups with 14,000 readers, and could never get anybody in support to 
help me when I had trouble. I gave up and bought another listserver, have 
been happy ever since.

It may seem like a waste to pay for a listserver to some of you, but to me, 
my newsletter is my livelihood. I cannot take chances on it not getting 
sent out. Worth the buck or so a day to me, anyway.

Anybody wants my personal recommendations, feel free to e mail off list.
