Re: [epub] Re: switching subscription list
Hello Katherine and Epubbers!

I am not on AOL although I did try sending out all links in my
ezine using the full html code so that my AOL subscribers
would have a *live* link to click on.

But I just didn't like the looks of all that long html coding messing
up the clean look of my ezine.

I have been using a paid listserver with mail-list.com and with
their service I can simple choose to have a *special* coded
version sent to all AOL subscribers. This way all I have to do
is type my URL's normally and the email addresses with the
simple mailto: in front of it, and the listserver will insure that
everyone gets exactly what coding they need to make the
links *live*.

NOTE: There's just no hope of pleasing everyone since there
are some web based email services that don't let their members
receive html of any kind in their emails. But at least 95%+ of
my subscribers have *live* links now.

You did say that you weren't ready to spend money on a list
hosting company but I have found the 9.95 a month to be well
worth the time saved and the hassles eliminated. And the
customer service is EXCEPTIONAL. They really care about
their clients. Response is quick. Problems are nearly non
existent. Uptime is at a maximum as I have never not been
able to send out my ezine in the 6 months I've used them.

If you or anyone have questions about mail-list.com just drop
Mark an email at mailto:mdm@mail-list.com

(I get nothing whatsoever for recommending them except the
satisfaction of helping other publishers find an inexpensive
great alternative to the *freebie* services.)

God Bless,
