EPUB Archives [Thread Prev][Thread Next][Thread][epub] AOL links
In epub #558, Diana Ward wrote: "Can somebody help me with the AOL links in ezines issue? I'll give you free advertising!" This is incorrect: <a href== " http://foo.com "> foo.com This is correct: foo.com Always make sure that there is nothing following or preceding the chevron (<), including a period. You can do a similar trick with mailto links. One problem: all those long links are sometimes hard-wrapped by AOL, and thus, broken. A solution is to use a redirect meta tag script on one of your web site pages that redirects to the target web site, so instead of: AOL click here You can put: AOL click here The RD is for redirect. You get the picture. No need for the free advertising. I appreciate the offer though.
