My comments:
I have been a Eudora User for YEARS now and I have never HAD to delete
messages from my trash, and have never had anyone get a "mailbox full"
message due to my having too many messages. What's too many? I have
thousands upon thousands of emails saved in something like 25 different
folders and I clear my trash about once a month when it reaches something
like 5000 messages. I don't have it empty the trash automatically and I
don't worry about it, ever.

Thinking about how email works, if you were on AOL it would work like that
(where a person would get a bounced back email because their email box was
full) but it doesn't seem like it should work that way on an ISP. After
all, the messages get bounced back from the email SERVER at your ISP, not
from your box. They either get accepted by the server, which then holds
them until such time as you download them, or they get bounced back before
you ever get online.

If they are accepted by the server, and you then go to download them, and
your box is full, I could see where there would be a problem, but I can't
see how your mailbox being full would bounce the email BACK to your server
so that it could then BOUNCE it back to the sender..... formula just
doesn't seem to compute.

It has to be something else....?
